Where we design tailor-made trips in Chile

Every custom-made trip to Chile is different, but most are built around these regions.

Tell us which ones pull at you and we’ll work out what fits in the time you have.

The driest desert on Earth, and the easiest region to underestimate. Altiplano lagoons above 4,000 m, geysers at sunrise, salt flats and some of the clearest night skies anywhere. Best combined with: Santiago, or as the northern half of a two-region trip.

Atacama desert

Torres del Paine works for a three-day base tower hike or a full W trek, but it also works as a slower stay with day walks, estancias and wildlife. Bespoke holidays here live or die on logistics: flights to Puerto natales, park entry, refuge bookings. We handle all of it.

Patagonia and Torres del Paine

Most trips start here, and most travellers give it a day. It’s worth three: the Andes are 90 minutes away, the Maipo wine valley an hour, and Valparaíso’s hills sit on the coast.

Santiago and the Central Valley

Volcanoes, araucaria forests, hot springs and lakes. The green Chile that surprises people who arrived expecting only desert and ice.

Lake District and Pucón

Five hours by air from Santiago, and a world of its own. Moai, volcanic craters and a living Polynesian culture. Usually added as a three or four-day extension.

Easter Island — Rapa Nui

Departing from Punta Arenas or Ushuaia, by expedition cruise or fly-cruise. The most logistically demanding trip we design, and the one travellers talk about the longest.

How far in advance should I plan a tailor-made trip to Chile?

Three to six months is comfortable for most custom itineraries.

For Patagonia between December and February, or Antarctica in any season, six to nine months — refuges and cabins book out early.

What's the best time of year to visit Chile?

It depends on where you’re going.

Patagonia runs October to April.

The Atacama works year-round. Central Chile is best in spring and autumn.

A well-designed trip works with the seasons rather than against them.

How long should a trip to Chile be?

Ten days lets you combine two regions properly.

Fourteen gives you three without rushing.

Under a week, we’d rather design something excellent in one region than something thin across three.

Do you only design trips, or do you guide them too?

Both.
