A day exploring the Maipo Valley, tasting wines, and talking about the history, landscapes, and wine culture of Chile

Discover the essence of Chilean wine accompanied by a local guide who connects you with the history, culture, and landscapes that gave life to the Maipo Valley.

Santiago is the only capital city in the world with active vineyards, and this tour reveals that unique contrast between city, nature, and tradition.

We visit iconic wineries and lesser-known spots while sharing stories about Chile’s winemaking roots, local life, and the influence of the Andes on the valley’s character.

Designed for those seeking more than a tasting, this experience blends flavors, history, and conversation in a relaxed atmosphere, an authentic journey that brings together wine, culture, and landscape.

Some of our favorite wineries

viña santa rita tour

One of Chile’s most iconic wineries, where history and wine intertwine.

Its century-old park, colonial chapel, and the Andean Museum, with remarkable pre-Columbian collections, make this a complete cultural and wine experience.

viña haras de pirque tour

Famous for its horseshoe-shaped winery, this boutique vineyard combines architecture, sustainability, and organic and biodynamic wines.

viña aquitania tour

Small, charming, and full of character, this urban boutique winery offers panoramic views of the Andes and a truly personal wine experience.

viña concha y toro tour

Chile’s most famous winery, home to the legendary Casillero del Diablo, has recently added a sensory museum that blends history, aromas, and technology. Surrounded by gardens and Andean views, it captures the classic spirit of Chilean wine.

viña cousiño macul tour

One of the few wineries in the world still owned by its founding family. Located within Santiago, it preserves heritage cellars and 19th-century barrels, offering a mix of city, history, and wine.

Begin your day heading toward Maipo Valley as your guide introduces the region.

11:00 AM Santa Rita Winery (Wine tasting, Andean Museum and lunch)

Our first stop is Santa Rita, one of Chile’s most historic wineries.

The premium tour includes its iconic cellars, park, chapel, and a high-end wine tasting.

You can also visit the Andean Museum, home to an incredible collection of pre-Columbian artifacts from across South America, and choose between a gourmet lunch at Doña Paula Restaurant, a lighter option at the café, or lunch later at another winery.

2:30 PM Haras de Pirque Winery

After lunch, we head to Haras de Pirque, a boutique winery known for its unique horseshoe-shaped architecture and commitment to sustainable practices.

Here you’ll enjoy an intimate tour that contrasts with Santa Rita’s scale, exploring its organic and biodynamic methods up close.

viña haras de pirque tour
We spent two days with the team from Ecordua. The first was to visit wineries and the second was to do a walking tour of Valparaiso followed by a wonderful lunch at a beautiful winery. Both days our tour guides were excellent. We enjoyed both tours and would highly recommend Ecordua. From our initial contact to the tours themselves, everything was excellent. I wish I had also used them for a Santiago walking tour. Again, I highly recommend Ecordua for all your travel needs in Santiago.

Ecordua was born from a simple idea: sharing the landscapes we love in a meaningful way.

We create experiences that invite travelers to explore Chile’s nature with curiosity, respect, and a sense of discovery, from the Andes mountains to hidden valleys, coastal ecosystems and local wine regions.

More than just tours, our experiences are designed to help you understand the landscapes you are visiting: their geology, biodiversity, culture and history. We believe that when people connect deeply with a place, travel becomes far more memorable.

Our focus is simple: small groups, knowledgeable local guides and authentic experiences that allow you to discover Chile beyond the typical tourist routes.

This tour does not fall under Chile’s ‘adventure tourism’ category and therefore does not require registration with SERNATUR under that specific regulation. However, all our services comply with applicable regulations and follow the same quality and safety standards that define Ecordua.
