The tour starts at 8:30 AM with transport from San Pedro to an old sulfur mine. From there, the ascent begins, lasting approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Along the way, you can see “penitentes,” natural snow formations that enhance the landscape.

Upon reaching the summit, you’ll enjoy a light lunch and time to appreciate the vastness of the altiplano. The descent takes around 1 hour, with a return to San Pedro between 1:00 and 3:00 PM, depending on weather and group pace.

Begin the hike to Cerro Toco’s summit. The ascent takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, progressing over volcanic terrain.

Arrive at the base and head back to San Pedro de Atacama.
