We start at 9:30 AM from your accommodation to visit Tahai, an archaeological site with moáis and an incredible view.

Next, we’ll explore Ahu Akivi, the only moáis facing the sea, and Puna Pau, the quarry where the red stone topknots were carved.

In Vinapu, you’ll see stone walls that resemble Incan architecture.

To finish the day, we’ll ascend the Rano Kau crater and visit Orongo, a ceremonial village with petroglyphs and breathtaking landscapes.

What should I bring?

We recommend wearing light and comfortable clothing, such as t-shirts and shorts or dresses, along with a light jacket for cooler evenings due to the wind and a rain jacket for occasional showers. Don’t forget to pack a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen to protect yourself from the strong sun, especially during the summer months from December to March. Comfortable walking shoes are advised for exploring archaeological sites and trails.

Easter Island enjoys a subtropical oceanic climate year-round, with pleasant temperatures between 18°C and 24°C. Beach season is continuous from January to December, as the water temperature stays above 20°C, offering ideal conditions for swimming.
