Included: Professional guide with a first aid kit and satellite communication device, hiking poles, gaiters and snowshoes (if needed), binoculars and field guides, pickup and drop-off at your hotel, box lunch (sandwich, cereal bar, fruit, nuts, and chocolate or similar) or cheese and wine picnic (depending on the chosen tour), and 19% IVA Tax.
Not Included: Travel insurance, entrance fee to the hot springs, optional tips.

What clothes should I bring?
Comfortable walking clothes, warm clothing and a jacket (we’ll be in the mountains, so better to be prepared), trekking shoes or trail running shoes, hat, bandana, and gloves (recommended), sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen), water bottle (at least 1.5 liters, ideally reusable), small backpack (20-30 liters), and cash (if you plan to visit the hot springs, around $15,000 CLP per person).
What is the best time of year to take this tour?
Cajón del Maipo is a year-round destination, with each season offering something special. In winter, we monitor weather conditions to ensure a safe experience.
Is the tour suitable for beginners or people with no prior trekking experience?
Yes, absolutely. The routes are easy to moderate, and no advanced fitness level is required.

What are the weather conditions like in Cajón del Maipo throughout the year?
Summer can be hot, but temperatures drop as soon as the sun sets, and summer storms can appear unexpectedly. In winter, the cold and snow transform the landscape into something magical. The weather is variable, so we always check the conditions before each tour.
Is there access to restrooms during the tour?
We will make a stop 1.5 hours before reaching the furthest point of the tour. After that, there may be some rustic restrooms, but if they are not available, you will need to go in nature, following the “Leave No Trace” principles.
How much time is spent walking during the tour?
The hiking time varies depending on the option you choose. It can range from 1 hour to 4 or 5 hours.
Can we choose the route on the day of the tour?
Ideally, you should choose the route before the tour day to ensure everything is prepared, including any necessary permits. However, the final destinations of each hike can be decided together on the day, based on your preferences and the terrain conditions.
What is your cancellation policy?
You can cancel up to 24 hours before the tour to receive a full refund. In case of extreme weather or force majeure, you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule or choose a different tour.
