Cerro Pintor Hiking Tour

Enjoy the high Andes and the views to the glaciers

Description

Experience in details

This experience will take you hiking on a high mountain landscape very close to the city.

You will be able to reach 4.200 mts / 13700 fts above sea level on the same day and get views of the glaciers, mountains of 6.000 meters, and the city of Santiago.

The unique thing about this area is the access: we will drive the car up to 3.000 meters. From there the trail is well marked, not too difficult and it can also be tailored to the level of the group.

You will be led by expert guides certified with Wilderness First Aids and carrying first aid kits and satellite communication devices. We do this hike all the time for pleasure and work.

From the city, we drive 1.5 hours east, following a mountain road to the town of Farellones, where the three main ski resorts are located.

Upon arrival at the parking lot at 3.000 meters above sea level, we start the hike and if it’s possible we will reach 4.200 meters, the summit of Cerro Pintor.

During the day we will see if you are feeling good and adapting to the altitude, and based on that we will choose the final point: It could be Piquenes lagoon at 3.500 meters, Falsa Parva summit at 3900 meters, La Parva summit at 4.000 meters, and Cerro Pintor at 4.200 meters.

You will also decide the same day based on the weather conditions and the help and experience of the guide.

It doesn’t matter the final point, you will always get nice views and feel the high mountain.
