our story
I grew up in a family of artists and nature lovers, in the foothills of Santiago, where my connection with the environment was always natural and deep.
While studying Ecotourism and working as a guide in Torres del Paine, I had the opportunity to take travelers from all over the world to discover Patagonia.
After a couple of seasons, I returned to Santiago, the place where my love for nature was born, and I realized something: the same sense of reconnection I experienced in Patagonia could be offered right here in Santiago.
That’s how Ecordua was born in 2017, with the mission of creating authentic, high-quality experiences for those who truly want to explore Chile.
Everything was going great until the pandemic hit, forcing us to pause for two years. In 2022, we came back stronger than ever, and we haven’t stopped growing since.
In 2024, my wife Camila joined the team, bringing a more strategic vision and taking charge of continuous improvement, customer experience, and the company’s growth.
Today, we are a small but passionate team, with many ideas and a group of expert guides who share our values, ensuring safe, educational, and enriching experiences.
We are proud members of the Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA) and contributors to 1% for the Planet, reinforcing our commitment to responsible tourism and conservation.

JoaquíN Cordua
Founder and Guide
I studied Ecotourism Management and discovered my passion for guiding while working in Torres del Paine, Patagonia.
Inspired by the therapeutic power of nature, I founded Ecordua in 2017, realizing Santiago’s incredible potential for meaningful outdoor experiences.
Outside of work, I spend my time climbing, horseback riding, gardening with Cami, birdwatching, and just being outdoors.
Camila Berríos
Operations leader
I studied Industrial Civil Engineering and spent five years in the corporate world, but in 2024, I decided to make a big change and joined Ecordua.
I’m a nature lover who enjoys a cozy home life, spending time with our dogs, gardening, and climbing.
I also spent three months in Tanzania, an experience that sparked a deep love for wildlife—a passion that continues to inspire me today.
