A half-day private experience in the high Andes, with scenic viewpoints, short walks, and a relaxed picnic with local wine
If you want to experience the high Andes without committing to a full-day hike, this private half-day tour is a great way to leave Santiago behind and enjoy the mountains at a more relaxed pace.
We drive up the winding road toward Farellones and the high mountain zone, stopping at scenic viewpoints to take in the landscape, enjoy the views, and learn about the geology, wildlife, and mountain ecosystems of the central Andes.
Once we reach the high mountain zone at over 3,000 meters, we take a short and easy walk to enjoy the silence, fresh air, and wide views of the surrounding peaks, with good chances of spotting the Andean condor overhead.
In winter, the landscape is often covered in snow, while in the warmer months the area reveals alpine vegetation, colorful rock formations, and the dry, open beauty of the central Andes.
On the way back down, we stop at a scenic overlook to enjoy a relaxed picnic with local snacks, fruit, cheese, and a glass of Chilean wine, a simple moment to take in the landscape, share conversation, and enjoy the mountains before returning to the city.
