On the first day, we’ll explore the Valle de las Arenas and hike the trails leading to the Hanging Glacier El Morado, surrounded by peaceful mountain scenery.

Day 1 – Hanging Glacier El Morado

What should I bring?
- Clothing and footwear: Comfortable clothes and shoes suitable for trekking and camping, adjusted to the season. We will send you a weather forecast prior to your trip to help you plan.
- Accessories: Sunglasses, sunscreen, a sun hat or cap, a reusable water bottle (about 1 liter), a small daypack (20-30 liters), an external battery (optional), and cash if you’d like to visit the hot springs ($15,000 CLP per person).
What is the best time of year for this tour?
We recommend this tour between October and April, when the weather is more stable and enjoyable for outdoor activities.
Can the tour be customized?
Yes! As a private tour, it can be tailored to your interests and fitness level. If you prefer a more relaxed pace, we can dedicate a day to rest and visit the hot springs. Everything is fully customizable for a personalized experience.
Is the tour suitable for beginners or those with no trekking experience?
This tour is ideal for people with good physical fitness and some hiking experience. It is not recommended for complete beginners.
Are there bathrooms during the tour?
Access to bathrooms depends on the stops and campsite location. For convenience, we provide each participant with an “Eco Tube,” following Leave No Trace principles to protect the environment.
How many kilometers will we walk in total?
We’ll walk 16 km in total to visit the Hanging Glacier (Day 1) and 10 km for Laguna Morales (Day 2). The itinerary is flexible and can be adjusted to your preferences, even during the tour.
What is your cancellation policy?
- If you cancel 45 days or more before departure, you’ll receive a full refund minus a 20% non-refundable deposit.
- If you cancel 30–45 days before departure, 50% of the total cost will be refunded.
- If you cancel within 30 days of departure, no refund will be issued.
- If Ecordua cancels the trip, you can choose a full refund, reschedule at no cost, or select a different tour.
