If you have half a day in Santiago and want to experience the nature that surrounds the city, this private hiking adventure is a great option.

We pick you up directly at your accommodation, and in about 30 minutes you’ll be in the foothills of the Andes, ready to begin a personalized hike of around two hours.

During the hike, you’ll gain about 300 meters (985 ft) in elevation and cover roughly 5 kilometers (3 miles), always at a pace adapted to your level and preferences.

Your guide will adjust the route to match your interests and energy.

Along the way, you’ll enjoy wide views of Santiago, the Andes, and the native plants and wildlife that thrive in these hills.

To finish the experience, we share a relaxed cheese and wine picnic with carefully selected local products, a perfect moment to unwind before returning to the city.

What a fantastic half-day hike near Santiago. Joaquín was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and made the whole experience feel very personal and well organized. I really appreciated how much attention he gave to safety while still making it fun and tailored to my hiking level. It was also great to learn about the local plants, birds, and wildlife along the way. A beautiful and memorable way to experience nature just outside the city.

What an excellent trip out of the city and a great hike. We really enjoyed views of the city and valleys from the hike, and we enjoyed seeing all the ranches and the horses grazing right beside the hiking trail. Our guide Frank was super knowledgeable about the plant life and Chilean countryside. We also enjoyed the delicious wine and cheese with fresh fruits after the hike. Everything on the tour was just perfect for a half day tour.

We had a wonderful half-day hike with Ecordua while staying in Santiago. Booking was easy, the hotel pick-up was very convenient, and our guide Frank was friendly, enthusiastic, and full of local knowledge. The trail starts a bit steep and rocky, but quickly becomes very enjoyable, and the hiking poles were a great help. One of the highlights was seeing a huge condor flying right above us. A really special outdoor experience and a great way to spend half a day outside the city.
