The day begins with a peaceful boat ride across the fjord to this family-run ranch, where you’ll be welcomed with homemade sopaipillas, coffee, and the warmth of your hosts.
Then, you’ll choose between a horseback ride through pampas and forest, a guided hike for flora and bird observation, or a 4×4 tour to scenic viewpoints.
At midday, the aroma of lamb roasted on the spit announces lunch, a traditional Patagonian barbecue served with Chilean wine, fresh salads, and homemade desserts.
In the afternoon, watch a demonstration of sheepdogs at work and live sheep shearing a glimpse into the heritage and skills of generations of Patagonian ranchers.

We recommend dressing in layers with warm, comfortable clothes: windproof or waterproof jacket, long pants, hat, gloves, and sturdy walking shoes or boots. No technical gear required.
Is the tour cancelled in bad weather?
Navigation and activities depend on wind conditions and fjord status. In case of bad weather or force majeure, you may reschedule or request a full refund.
Do I need horseback riding experience?
No. The rides are beginner-friendly and guided by local gauchos who will teach you everything you need. You can also choose to hike or ride in a 4×4 instead.
Can I choose the activity the same day?
Yes, you can usually choose on arrival, depending on weather and availability.
Are vegetarian or vegan meals available?

How long is the boat ride?
About 40 minutes each way between Puerto Natales and Estancia La Península.
Where does the tour start?
At Mac Lean Dock, about 10 minutes from downtown Puerto Natales. Taking a taxi or Uber is easy and affordable. If needed, we can arrange transportation for an extra fee.
Are restrooms available?
Yes, the ranch has bathrooms and shared facilities available to guests.
Is this tour family-friendly?
Yes, it’s ideal for families. Children under 4 may not ride horses but can join the 4×4 ride or enjoy the other activities.
What is the cancellation policy?
You can cancel more than 15 days in advance for a full refund. You’ll also get a refund if the tour is canceled due to weather or force majeure.
